Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
IUI is performed by a healthcare provider by placing donor sperm directly into the uterus using a thin, flexible catheter. Although vials containing 10M motile sperm are often used for IUI, scientific evidence demonstrates that vials containing 5M motile sperm result in the same pregnancy rates. (Hochberg 2024).

Intracervical Insemination (ICI) / Home Insemination
For home insemination, the highest pregnancy rates are observed when inseminating 8M motile sperm (Kop 2022). Select 10M ICI to achieve delivery of at least 8M motile sperm. Performing two inseminations per cycle increases birth rates by three-fold (e.g. from 6% to 18% per cycle for women under 35 years of age).

In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) / ICSI Cycles
IVF cycles require less sperm because only a small number are needed for fertilization. This is achieved either through intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), where a single sperm is injected into each egg, or by exposing each egg to a small number of sperm in the laboratory. Some IVF labs prefer washed sperm (IUI preparation) while others prefer unwashed sperm (ICI preparation).
