For decades, the sperm banking industry in the US has operated without limits on how many families could use sperm from a single donor. This has led to valid concerns among donor-conceived individuals, parents, and donors themselves about the long-term social impact of donor conception.
At Premier Sperm Bank, we believe in doing things differently. We are committed to ethical family limits that protect the well-being of donor-conceived people while still supporting families who wish to grow.
Our Family Limit Policy
Globally, we have a maximum of 25 families per donor. Specifically:
We allow up to 25 families worldwide per donor
One family slot is automatically held for the donor's own family
All reported pregnancies are tracked in our internal database to ensure accurate records
No limit on the number of children a single family may have using their chosen donor
This allows families to have genetic siblings if they wish to expand in the future.
